What is eliminative materialism? Provide three examples of it.
Eliminative materialism is the process of using science to explain things. In the video we watched “Eliminative Materialism, part one” the speaker explains it very simply by saying if something cannot be explained by math then we go to physics and through every branch of science, and if at the end if it cannot be explained then god did it. Also eliminative materialism eliminated gods with science as to how to explain things. Three examples of this concept are that we no longer believe spirits cause disease now we understand that bacteria and viruses do. The second example is light which we no understand is caused by electric magnetic currents and not Thor the thunder god. Finally our understanding of the body and the central nervous system put to rest the idea of ghosts in our body.

Yeah, your answer is very clear. In some countries, because of the lack knowledge of astronomy, when people saw the sun was under covered, they may think the sun is eaten by something mysterious. But today, as we know, this phenomenon is called “Solar Eclipse”that happens when the moon blocks the sun.

This process of elimination must be very time consuming to go through every scientific discipline and sometimes they do not arrive at a clear, accurate and understandable conclusion so I don't find it hard to believe that "god did it" answer is that outrageous to say then human minds hit a road block.
