1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution is important in understanding how humans behave because there is a clear understanding of how humans were brought into existence and how everything came to be. Being that the evolution theory is scientific it certainly backs up/ supports science. Back in the day citizens took a more mystical path to justify the human existence. Now, people either agree with the religious or scientific reasoning of how humans were brought about. The short film “The Evolutionary Imperative: To Be or Not to Be” includes that The Myth of Sisyphus the real question is “what is suicide” and what causes someone to question whether or not one is capable of living. There is a lot of question from the theory of knowledge but having unanswered questions make humans have faith in what they believe. The study of nature is important when understanding.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
I am sure there are many questions that the evolutionary theory cannot answer but what came to mind when I seen this question is more religious questions. Being that religious question basically answers off of faith there is not as much factual evidence like science. So, questions like how long either man was or woman (whoever came first) was on the earth before the next one came? Another question that comes to mind is was there light or dark at first? Another question that has come to mind was how did the universe form or start? The last question comes to mind is how did gravity happen? Though the evolutionary theory answers a significant amount of answers there are still some questions I believe cannot be proven with evidence. It’s more of what a person’s religion is and what they believe.
