Question#1:
philosophy is the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence, as physics is the branch of science concerned with the nature and properties of matter and energy. The practice of philosophy of physics is continuous with the practice of physics itself, its basically like philosophy begins where physics ends and physics begins where philosophy ends. Philosophy searches for the truth, as to physics is why science exist. After all, science is a search for truth by rational means, which is why it is important to understand the physics and the general rules of the universe in philosophy.
Question#2:
Eliminative materialism is a materialist position in the philosophy of mind. Its primary claim is that people's common-sense understanding of the mind or folk psychology is false and that certain classes of mental states that most people believe in do not exist. As we can see in the film "Eliminative Materialism" different types of sciences and math are used for understanding and reasoning. It was shown that scientist believed that if the theory was not able to be solved in a mathematically way they turned to physics, if that did not work they turned chemistry then to biology. That brings us to one example which is attempting different subjects before giving up on a question and understanding. The second is we no longer talk about spirits being the cause for diseases, we now know diseases are caused by bacteria and viruses. The third example is intelligent reduction, we've allowed Eliminative materialism to change our thinking about almost everything.

"Hello Natalie,I think your analysis is pretty good, I like how you explained what philosophy was right off the back, giving us a better understanding. I agree with you because science can not exist without philosophy, After all, science is a search for truth by rational means, which is why it is important to understand the physics and the general rules of the universe in philosophy."
