Extra Credit: The Life of Pythagoras
Pythagoras was a founder of the religious movement which called Pythagoreanism, he was also a Greek philosopher, and mathematician.
Pythagoras had always been given credit for Pythagorean theorem, which can be explained in formula as a^2 + b^2 = c^2.After I read the text and did research about Pythagoras, I know more about him. Pythagoras, a great philosopher, mathematician, scientist, and mystic, had so many achievements. In Egypt, he spent twenty-two years to study geometry, astronomy, and so on. In Babylon, he spent twelve years to study arithmetic, music, and so on.Being studying for many years, Pythagoras became a very wise man. He helped to restore the liberty to many Italy, such as Crotona and Sybaris. After this, he became conspicuous. Pythagoras had a more open mind about new opinions or new ideas which also influenced to his philosophy. He also developed an idea that every things could not be perfect base on the inspiration of math. Pythagoras shows that the answer to a problem in science can lead to new questions. For every door that we opened, we found another door closed behind him.
