Week 1 & 2
Question #1 Socrates was sentenced to death because of two accusations brought before him. The first one accusation is impiety. Meaning that he did not believe in God like the people were accustomed to. The second accusation was of him so called corrupting the children with hi teachings. He went to trail and decided to represent himself. Although making valid point and exercising the right to speak, he did not convince the people of his reasoning behind his ideas and philosophy. Socrates was sentenced to death by the end of the trail. We learn here that no matter the opinions of other, you should always hold tight of your integrity and continue to stand for whatever it is that you believe.
Question #2 There is an immense amount of conflict when it comes to the matter of science and religion. According to the book, The Great Mystery: Matter vs. Spirit, it explains that physics is the most mythical en-devour of humankind. The matter of oxygen and hydrogen are brought up saying that separate it would be unimaginable to think of the two forming water. But together, nothing else is needed. That is a matter of science but the matter of spirit does come forth. This is so because how are these compounds actually brought in to existence. Is it indeed a matter or science or religion.
