In the “The Future of Information and Memory” chapter of the book, it gives us some ideas about how much a megabyte is, how much a gigabyte is. For example, 50 gigabytes is about a whole floor of books in the library, my computer has a space of 750 GB, so that means my computer can hold a 15 story library. It’s just incredible how computer memory is. I can actually carry a very big library in my backpack. The trend for computer memory is getting bigger and bigger, I always thought that the largest memory is a terabyte, but I don’t know that there are even bigger ones before reading this chapter. Besides the capacity is getting bigger, the size is getting smaller. It is obviously to be seen by APPLE products, from iPad to iPad mini. Look at the difference in the size. Isn’t it amazing?
