I would have to say that after watching the Disneyland of consciousness, that is for sure my favorite video. The virtual simulation of consciousness makes us believe that something we see, looks to be so real when in reality, it is not. For example, like explained in the Disneyland of consciousness video, The Pirates of the Caribbean ride has tons of machine like pirates all over, but the way they are designed trick us to believe that maybe they are real human beings instead of machines. Back when I was around 9, I was at Disneyland and on my way to the haunted mansion ride when I spotted someone in the elevator who looked to be a machine as well when it turned out he was actually a real person. I was so convinced with these machines on all these rides, I was amused by it all. These days, now things are looking so life like it is hard to tell which is the real deal.

Hi Natalie,
I like your analysis of consciousness as a virtual simulator using the video Disneyland of Consciousness and your personal experience in Disneyland when you were a kid. Indeed, what appears to us as real might in fact just be illusions. What is worth mentioning here is that such function of consciousness actually offers evolutionary advantages to our survival as the brain wants us to see what we need to see to live one extra day. It plays the options available without the threat of real danger so that we could make better decisions in real cases.
