There is often conflict between science and religion because supporters of these groups usually adhere to beliefs that naturally contradict each other. For instance, as both the book Spiritual vs Matter and the film Mysterium Tremendum PRESENTATION, part two: SPIRCON pointed out, religious people tend to put a lot of emphasis on the supernatural, or things that can not be repeatedly tested and confirmed through observation and experimentation. Conversely, scientist tend to place great emphasis on the physical and usually reject things that cannot be repeatedly tested and confirmed--that is, the supernatural. Despite their differences both sides are adamant that their position is right, often accusing the other side of being primitive. But as Professor Lane pointed out in Mysterium Tremendum PRESENTATION, part two: SPIRCON, this does not have to be the case. Perhaps if both sides took an objective approach when studying the physical and the mystical a healthy compromise between the groups would likely be inevitable.

Hello Nolan, I agree with you on the part where you stated "religious people tend to put a lot of emphasis on the supernatural, or things that can be repeatedly tested and confirmed through observation and experimentation" I believe that through everything science is usually the answer through observation and experimentation through trial and error.
