Question 1: Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
Answer: According to Marisa Hubanks, "The theory of evolution is not just in our genes and traits, its bigger then that, it is in our work ethics and morals. Another example is in our values. Now with different cultures and age groups our values, morals, and ethics have evolved and changed"(marisahubanks.blogspot.com). Humans behavioral tendencies evolve and change overtime through the belief of evolution. The theory of evolution is important in human beings, because it's in our DNA. In the book called The DNA of Consciousness, it states, "Two general approaches to molecular evolution are to 1) use DNA to study the evolution of organisms (such as population structure, geographic variation and systematics) and to 2) use different organisms to study the evolution of DNA"(Lane 10). This theory has a direct correlation of who we are down to the exact DNA, which can easily show us how humans behave over time.
Question 2: Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
Answer: Evolutionary theory can't answer where we came from or who came first males or females. There really isn't a timetable in evolution for what comes first, even the universe, how do we really know what type of matter or materials made the universe. The questions that evolution can't answer are the reasons why science and religion have always had conflict. It's something that can't be explained through science and can only be explained through religion and God. Other questions like where do stars come from and what was the first element ever created will never be answered, because there isn't any factual evidence to conclude what they are. Evolution can only tell us how we behave and change over time but not where we came from.
