1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution is the changing of environmental condition, offspring’s biological traits. It changes because they want to better survive and adapt new environment. The theory of evolution came from Charles Darwin, and he believed that the origin of species is the ape. Today, we are examining fossils in order to go back to thousand years; therefore,we discovered that mutations happen in DNA which is based on four letters In the video " The Genetic Connection," it says, " Evolution is conserve so many genes, exploring the genomes of other species can shed lights on genes involved in human biology and disease... the genes we shared be used differently." That's why human beings are all look differently and behave differently. Evolution teaches people not to understand the world, but it is to find ourselves. Individual has his or her own nerve and think the only path that no one else could use. People have a long way to go from current knowledge to the truth behind the brain. People create antibiotic from the theory of evolution, scientists are using evolution to understand how people behave the way they act, and most importantly, how people think or what kind of thinking pattern people take through the process of natural selection. Since evolution is a big conflict of religion, most religious people come up with some kind of superstition when they are required to explain things that they do not know.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
After reading the video "Darwin's DNA," I think evolution cannot answer many questions. Some questions I always ask my parents when I was young. What is the origin of species?” or “Who am I?” Which came first? Male or Female? If people could fully understand Evolution, there are more answers to the mysteries. What is someone passes on the wrong idea or theory to the next generation? If no one ask question, then the same wrong would be considered as the right, where the right is wrong. People have their doubts. Constantly asking more questions would bring more answers to people. Every theory started with doubts in someone's mind, but only small amount of people would actually take actions and test their doubts; then, they share their answers with the rest of the world. People still have a long way to go for them to understand everything they have doubts about in this world."Why" is the only help they can find along the path. However, this cannot fully explain the process of evolution.
