Technology has impacted my life in large ways. I realized how much technology has changed my life recently on a business trip. It started when my cell phone died on the plane. I was returning from the trip with more then I left with, so I had checked my luggage with the charger inside. The phone died while I was playing a slot machine game on my phone.
I missed my connecting flight because I had not written down any of my flight information, but I saved the flight information on the phone. My luggage made the connecting flight, and I wanted to let my family know that I was running late, when I realized that I didn’t have any of my families phone numbers memorized. I decided to rent a car and realized that I wasn’t sure how to get to the hotel, without GPS on my phone. I realized just because I didn’t have my phone, I felt I was completely cut off from the world and lost. It was strange.

Hi April,
I enjoyed your example because I thought it had some good points all throughout your post. For myself, if I am driving, I feel scared if I do not have GPS with me because I feel like I would be lost without it. I also always feel scared if my phone is not mostly charged all throughout my day. I believe phones have a really great purpose when it comes to emergency reasons, but when you start to be on your phone 24/7, then it becomes more of an addiction.

I have also realized that I do not know any of my family member phone numbers when I was able to access my phone. I think people for the most part don't realize how much they need their phone in their lives until it is not there. I've caught myself checking to see if i have my phone with me as soon as I step outside.
